What is being healthy?

When it comes to being healthy, many of us automatically associate it food which isn't wrong, but it's certainly so much more. Being healthy isn't just about your nutrition, itt's everything that participates in your life. Being healthy is:

  • What you eat: your body is the only one you will ever get, treat it well. You need to fuel it with the nutrition it deserves to support your overall health and wellbeing. You wouldn't put diesel fuel into a petrol car, because it would damage the engine. So, be mindful about what you fuel your body with. Eat a nutritious, balanced diet of whole foods.

  • Movement: moving your body daily should be a reward not a chore. Find movement that you enjoy and becomes part of your daily routine. Staying active each day is important In supporting our overall body and mind. It has an anti-ageing effect and keeps us mobile.

  • What you listen to: this is vital in your health. What you consume, can have a huge impact on how you communicate with others and your overall mindset. Try to be mindful about what you watch or listen to. It can set the tone for your day much more than you realise.



  • Your Tribe: who you surround yourself with can impact your health. For a long and healthy life social interaction and community is important, but its equally important to be surrounded by the right people; the people who inspire you, lift you up and fill your life with joy and positivity. Following the law of attraction, like attracts like, so when we surround ourselves with likeminded, positive people it raises our vibration, instills happiness and longevity.

  • Self-Care: looking after your mind and body is crucial for your health. The number one person in your life should be you. Only when you look after yourself, are you able to support others. Don't forget to put time in your diary just for you. What will you do this week to support your own self-care?



Health is all encompassing. It has many factors that play an important role in longevity and happiness. If you're on a journey towards better health, have a think about all areas of your life that may need that extra support to become balanced.
