What's holding you back from achieving your dreams? Fear can be one of those obstacles that holds us all back. The fear of the unknown, fear of failure, fear of what others may think, imposter syndrome can set in ~ we all feel the fear at times but what makes some people go for it anyway?
Perhaps it's self confidence, financial freedom, support network etc. Here are some tips on how to overcome the fear and do it anyway:
Be Present: become more present in your life. Life is finite and we don't know what the future holds. Becoming more present in the moment allows us to value what is in the here and now. By becoming more present we become more content and accepting of what could be.
Let go of limiting beliefs: believe systems that limit you such as - getting a job for life and sticking with it for security - for some this may be great but for others it can be restrictive. Life is ever-changing and so you can reach for anything you want. Don't feel restricted.
Your Tribe: surround yourself with people who lift you up and become your cheerleaders. When we have the best support around us we thrive.
Positive Mindset: embracing a positive mindset and practicing daily gratitude will help you believe in yourself more and thus dive into projects that once held fear.
Embrace failure: when we fail, we learn and we move forward. Failure teaches us many things and without it we wouldn't appreciate the successes that we achieve. I've failed many times but I believe it's always a lesson and perhaps steering me in another direction. Trust the universe and if you fail at least you tried - what did you learn?
Feel the fear: it's important that when feelings come up that we sit with them. Listen to them because sometimes they are protecting you but sometimes they hold you back, so as wacky as it sounds have a chat with your feelings.
Remember: nobody got a script when they were born and no one has it figured out. We're all winging this thing called life together so be kind to yourself and dream big.
